Skate the Pavilion is a co-production between Spokane Skate and Lilac City Roller Derby, powered by incredible community volunteers. This free event brings skating, music, and fun together under the Pavilion’s dazzling light show.
We’re grateful for support from Spokane Riverfront Park and the Spokane Parks Foundation, making this night possible!

Schedule
6:00–7:00 PM: Karaoke with Moose 🎤
7:15–7:30 PM: Roller Derby Demo – High-energy showcase from Lilac City Roller Derby. Meet the skaters and learn about the sport!
7:30–8:15 PM: Jam Skating Demo & Instruction – With Darrion Gray. Learn moves from a local instructor!
7:30–8:30 PM: DJ Basedfiasco spinning live 🎶
8:30–9:15 PM: Bachata Dance Lesson (on foot in the center of the rink, skaters roll around) 💃
Event FAQ
Do I need to know how to skate?
Nope! Come to watch, dance, or learn. All ages welcome.
Are rentals available?
Yes! Skate rentals through Numerica Skate Ribbon are $6.95.
Do I need to register?
Registration is only recommended to pre-select skate sizes (optional but encouraged).
